Airport Business Center: Zuschlag für Bieterkonsortium – neues Hotel mit Tagungsräumen

Für das geplante Airport Business Center ist die Entscheidung im Bieterwettbewerb gefallen: Die Nürnberger ConTech GmbH wird das neue Hotel mit Tagungsräumen und Büros am Flughafenkreisel gemeinsam mit dem Investor ZBI und dem Architekturbüro Christ bauen. Als Betreiber haben sich mehrere namhafte Hotelketten beworben. „Damit kommen wir unserem Ziel, den Airport Nürnberg zu einem internationalen Meeting Point für die Metropolregion Nürnberg zu machen, einen entscheidenden Schritt näher“, so Flughafengeschäftsführer Karl-Heinz Krüger.
Krüger: „Das Airport Business Center ist Teil einer umfassenden Strategie, um den Flughafen noch besser als Standort für internationale Tagungen, Meetings und Veranstaltungen zu etablieren und das Angebot für Besucher noch attraktiver zu gestalten.“ Im Airport Business Center wird ein zweites hochwertiges Hotel mit zusätzlichen Konferenzkapazitäten von bis zu 1.000 Quadratmetern verknüpft. Zudem sollen Büroflächen entstehen. Auch eine hochwertige gastronomische Nutzung ist vorgesehen.
Der Entscheidung für die ConTech GmbH war ein Bieterwettbewerb vorausgegangen, an dem sich fünf Bietergruppen beteiligt hatten. Voraussetzung war, dass Invest, Entwicklung, Planung und Betrieb aus einer Hand angeboten wurden. Bewertungskriterien waren neben der Architektur die Darlegung der kommerziellen Ziele sowie das operative Konzept. Die Architektur der eingegangenen Bewerbungen wurde vom erweiterten Bau- und Planungsausschuss des Aufsichtsrats unter Einbeziehung des städtischen Baureferenten und weiterer Experten diskutiert und bewertet. Die Entwürfe aller Bieterkonsortien und der Ergebnisbeste wurden daraufhin dem Aufsichtsrat vorgestellt, der der Entscheidung zustimmte. Der Aufsichtsrat beauftragte die Geschäftsführung, nun die Verhandlungen zu konkretisieren und die Verträge im Detail auszugestalten. Nach Abschluss der Verhandlungen werden die Details im Rahmen einer Pressekonferenz vorgestellt.
Die ConTech GmbH wird bei der Realisation mit dem Investor ZBI sowie dem Architekten Christ und dem späteren Hotelbetreiber zusammenarbeiten. „Mit der ConTech und ihren Partnern haben wir einen seriösen und erfahrenen regionalen Bieter gewonnen, der unter anderem an Großprojekten wie dem Thermal- und Freizeitbad Fürthermare und Projekten der adidas AG beteiligt war und ist.“
